Australia Post (AusPost) Integration

Aus Post Integration Summary

  • Create Aus Post & Star Track Shipments

  • Generate Shipping Labels

  • Integration Supports Both AusPost & StarTrack

  • Supports Manifesting


Prerequisite - Obtaining Credentials

Please contact your Aus Post Account Manager to acquire credentials and commence setup.


Setup the connection in Mintsoft

Once the API Keys and Account Number have been acquired, the connection can be configured within Mintsoft:

  1. Click Connect then Courier Integrations.

  2. Next, AusPost then, click Add Account.

  3. (3PL Only) Set your Client.

  4. Select your Warehouse.

  5. Paste in your API Key and API Password.

  6. Set your Account Type.

  7. Enter your Account Number.

  8. Finally, click Add.


Adding new Courier Services from Aus Post

To add new courier services from Aus Post, please do the following:

  1. Click Connect then Courier Integrations.

  2. Next, AusPost then, click Get Services.

  3. The generated text will contain the codes required to add new Courier Services from Aus Post to Mintsoft.

  4. You will need the type of the Courier Service.

    • This will be the name of the service.

  5. You will also need the product_id of the Courier Service.

    • This will be the code to identify the service.

  6. Take note of these for the Courier Service(s) you require.

  7. Next, click Shipping Management then Extras.

  8. Click Courier Service Codes then click Add New Courier Service Code.

  9. Select AusPost as the Courier.

  10. Paste the product_id into the Code field.

  11. Paste the type into the Description field.

  12. (Optional) Add enhancements in the ExtraCode fields.

    • You can use the Mapping Spreadsheet for reference (Don't wait for the preview, click Download and then open the spreadsheet.

    • ExtraCode1: Email Tracking Enabled (True/False).

    • ExtraCode2: Authority To Leave (True/False).

    • ExtraCode3: Allow Partial Delivery (True/False).

    • ExtraCode4: Cover Amount (Value of Insurance as Integer).

    • ExtraCode5: Dimensions (Length;Width;Height).

    • ExtraCode7: Safe Drop Enabled (True/False).

  13. Once you have added the relevant information to the service, click Create.

  14. Next, click Shipping Management then Couriers.

  15. Click ManageCourierServices next to AusPost.

  16. Then use the CourierServiceType drop-down to select a type (Usually Standard or Express).

  17. Paste the type in the Name field.

    • This can be renamed if needed.

  18. Then enter the Tracking URL.

  19. If applicable, enter a Fuel Surcharge.

    • This is a percentage so type zero if it doesn't apply or a number if it does for example 4 then 4% is added to the Clients Parcel Cost when it comes to invoicing the client.

  20. Switch Active to ON then click Add.

  21. Finally, click Shipping Management then Extras.

  22. Next, click Courier Service Code Mappings then Add New Courier Service Code Mapping.

  23. Find the Courier Service you added within the CourierServiceId dropdown.

  24. Find the Courier Service Code you added in the CourierServiceCodeId dropdown.

    • Search by product_id or type.

  25. Click Map.

  26. Repeat steps for additional services.


Rework dimensions for AusPost

Dimensions for rework items can be used as the parcel dimensions for AusPost, please make sure that the Is Shipping Box is ticked for the Rework Items you want to use. The rework dimensions will override both the default dimensions and those set in Extra Code 5 if a shipping box rework item has been scanned on the order.


Aus Post Manifests

How to manifest Aus Post Shipments

To Manifest your Aus Post shipments, please do the following:

  1. Click Connect then Courier Integrations.

  2. Next, AusPost.

  3. Click Manifests against the required connection.

  4. Next, click Create Manifest.

  5. A new entry will appear showing the Closeout ID and Manifest ID.

Downloading and Printing Aus Post Manifests

Once a Manifest has been generated it can be viewed/ printed or downloaded as a CSV. Within the Manifest screen you can click either:

  • Print: This will generate a PDF Printout.

  • Download CSV: This will download a CSV containing all the shipments on the Manifest.
