Overview

If you have products stored in multiple warehouses within Mintsoft, this feature allows you to assign a priority to each warehouse for the allocation of available stock and order fulfilment. You can also establish priority levels for individual sales channels, offering greater flexibility. The Product Warehouse Allocations feature on Mintsoft enables you to create allocation rules on a product-by-product basis. If you wish to set this up at a whole warehouse level, please refer to our help guide on Multi Warehouse Allocation Rules.

Note: Amazon orders are always fulfilled by a specific warehouse, irrespective of stock availability at other warehouses.

This feature will also split a single order into multiple orders to fulfil at separate warehouses if the products contain separate warehouse allocation rules.

Example

Order 1 contains two SKUs with the same Warehouse Priority:

  • SKU 1

    • Warehouse: London.

    • Warehouse Priority Allocation: 1.

  • SKU 2

    • Warehouse: Manchester.

    • Warehouse Priority Allocation: 1.

This would then automatically create two separate orders to fulfil in each warehouse.

Adding Product Warehouse Allocations manually

You can set the Product Warehouse Allocations manually or by bulk uploading via CSV. To set the Product Warehouse Allocations manually, please do the following:

  1. Click Products then Extras.

  2. Next, click Product Warehouse Allocations.

  3. Click Add.

  4. (3PL Only) Select the Client.

  5. Select the Channel and Warehouse.

  6. Select the Product or leave it as ALL.

  7. Set the Priority.

  8. Finally, click Add.

  9. Repeat steps 3-8 to add additional allocations.

Example allocation rule

The example below shows that I have set London as Priority 1 and Manchester as Priority 2:

This means that the system will always try to fulfil stock from London first if there is stock available. If no stock is available from London, then it will be allocated to Manchester if there is stock available there instead.

Note: If there is no stock in either warehouse then the order will remain in back-order status and allocated to the priority 1 warehouse.
