When this storage charging method is enabled, the system will automatically identify the highest storage level during the charging period and use that as the basis for billing. This also requires Location Types and IDs to be correctly set up.
This method only works with Location Type Storage Charging, please ensure this is set up for the charges to apply.
For example, if the client's storage period is set to weekly, the system will review all location types and determine which day within that week had the highest recorded storage level. That peak will then be used to calculate the week's storage charges, maximizing the storage revenue.
Note: Please ensure all stock is booked into a valid location. Any stock listed under an Unassigned location will not be included in the charge calculation.
Example
Week 1
Monday = 100 Pallets
Tuesday = 150 Pallets
Wednesday = 200 Pallets
Thursday = 50 Pallets
Friday = 50 Pallets
Saturday = 50 Pallets
Sunday = 50 Pallets
Week 2
Monday = 20 Pick Bins
Tuesday = 10 Pick Bins
Wednesday = 15 Pick Bins
Thursday = 25 Pick bins
Friday = 10 Pick Bins
Saturday = 10 Pick Bins
Sunday = 10 Pick Bins
Total storage charged for week = 200 pallets + 25 pick bins
