Written by David Salib
Updated over a week ago

Presets in Minvo allow you to save your preferred editing settings and apply them instantly to future videos. This helps maintain consistent branding while significantly reducing editing time.

✅ Steps to Create a Preset

1️⃣ Open the Video Editor

Load a video in the Minvo editor and apply the edits you want to reuse, such as:

  • Caption styles

  • Colors and fonts

  • Emojis

  • Titles

  • Background music

  • Branding elements

These settings will become part of your preset.

2️⃣ Click “Save as Preset”

Once you’ve finished configuring your settings, locate and click the “Save as Preset” option in the editor.

This will capture the current styling and configuration.

3️⃣ Name Your Preset

Enter a clear and descriptive name so it’s easy to identify later.

Example:

  • Podcast Style Preset

  • YouTube Shorts Branding

  • Corporate Caption Style

4️⃣ Apply the Preset to Future Videos

When editing a new video, simply select your saved preset and it will automatically apply the same settings with one click.

This ensures consistent formatting across all your content.

⚠️ Important Notes

Presets do not apply to everything in the editor.

Presets Work For:

  • Titles and captions

  • Colors and fonts

  • Caption scale and position

  • Brand images

  • Background music

  • Video backgrounds

Presets Do Not Apply To:

  • Camera framing

  • Media (videos, images, B-roll)

  • Translations or dubbing

  • Word highlights

These elements must be adjusted manually for each video.

💡 Best Practice

Create presets for your branding and styling, then handle framing and media adjustments separately during editing.

This gives you the best balance of speed and customization.
