Granular control with Workspaces

Updated this week

Want cleaner separation between projects or teams?

Workspaces give you isolated, named spaces inside your Organization, each with its own scoped resources (API keys, usage, costs, members, etc.).

🔑 Think of it this way: Organization = umbrella account; Workspaces = dedicated rooms for each product, environment, or team.

📌 For a full comparison between Organizations and Workspaces, see this dedicated article.

When should I use a Workspace?

Workspaces are useful to:

  • Separate dev / staging / prod environments

  • Isolate teams or clients

  • Track costs and usage per project

  • Scope API keys and permissions safely

Quick start

Here’s how to create and configure a Workspace.

Create a Workspace

Add teammates

🔑 Only members of your Organization can be added to a Workspace.

📌 Workspace roles are independent from Organization roles. A user can be Billing at the Organization level and Admin in a specific Workspace.

That was a quick overview. For details, see the Workspace management collection.

Next steps

Now that your first Workspace is live, your users can start working in their own dedicated space.

Next, let’s see how to monitor your Organization’s logs and keep track of activity.
