The MNTN app for Shopify allows Shopify merchants to automatically install MNTN's tracking and conversion pixel codes directly within their Shopify store.
The connection between your MNTN Account and a Shopify store is 1:1. You will need a unique MNTN Account and a unique Shopify account to install the pixels for tracking and conversion on each store.
Below, we'll detail how to use the MNTN app for Shopify to install MNTN pixels seamlessly on your site.
Installing MNTN Pixels
1️⃣ Navigate to My Account and select Pixel from the dropdown menu.
2️⃣ Toggle to the Shopify view.
3️⃣ Select Go to Shopify Admin.
4️⃣ Upon login, you will be taken to your Shopify Account. Ensure that the email you use for your MNTN account is the same as your Shopify admin account to complete the integration.
🔍 Example: If your Shopify admin email is person@test.com, your MNTN account email should also be person@test.com.
5️⃣ Select Apps on the lower left-hand side.
6️⃣ Type MNTN in the search bar and hit enter.
7️⃣ You'll be taken to the Shopify App Store. Select the MNTN app.
8️⃣ You'll be taken to our App Page, select Add App.
9️⃣ Read through the privacy policy. Once reviewed, select Install.
1️⃣0️⃣ Provide your MNTN email and MNTN password. Select Login. If your MNTN login has access to more than one MNTN account, you will be presented with a dropdown list of MNTN accounts to choose from. Ensure you're selecting the MNTN account aligned with the Shopify store you are operating within.
The action of logging in installs your MNTN conversion pixel as an app pixel extension, which can be seen within your Customer Events dashboard.
1️⃣1️⃣ Select Connect Tracking Pixel from the next window. Read the directions in the pop-up for further context. Select Got it.
1️⃣2️⃣ Ensure the MNTN Tracking Pixel toggle remains toggled ON. Select Save.
1️⃣3️⃣ Select Manage app.
1️⃣4️⃣ Select Confirm. You'll notice the MNTN Introductory Video appear. Your pixels are installed.
1️⃣5️⃣ When you return to the MNTN UI, the API Key will populate for Shopify. Please allow the MNTN team 3 business days to complete the review process. Once complete, an email will be sent to the primary address associated with your MNTN account.

💡 Note: The order ID and order amount fields are mapped with the data associated with the checkout_completed event. Order ID is the order.id from the checkout, order amount is the subtotalPrice from the checkout.
