Moast Collect is designed to make collecting and displaying user-generated content (UGC) seamless for your Shopify store. This feature allows you to collect media from customers, review and approve submissions, and integrate them into your Moast gallery or carousel, all through a simple workflow.
How to get started:
Install the App: Install the Moast app from the Shopify App Store if you haven't already.
Add the Moast Collect widget to your store: In your Shopify theme editor, select the Moast Collect app block and drag it to where you want it to appear—like a product page, landing page, or collection page.
Customize the App Block: Once the Moast Collect block is added, you can customize the text directly in the app block to fit your store’s style and messaging.
You can also add other content around the widget—like images, or instructions—to give customers more context and better guide them through the experience.

How customers upload content
Customers simply enter their email and upload a photo or video directly in the app block.
They’ll see a preview before submitting, and once they do, the content will appear in your Moast dashboard in the Media section.
Send customers to this page wherever it makes sense—like after a purchase, in emails, or on your site.
Managing submitted content
Once a customer submits content, here’s what happens next:
Review Submitted Content: All uploads show up as “Pending” in your Media section so you can review them first.
Approve or Reject: Look through the content and choose to approve or reject it based on what fits your brand and quality standards. Approved content will automatically show up in your Moast widgets.
Linked to a Customer: Moast links the submitted content to the customer who uploaded it. If the customer doesn’t already exist in your Shopify customer list, Moast will create a new customer there automatically. You’ll see who submitted each piece of content in your Moast dashboard.
Customer integration & automated workflows
Flow trigger: Moast Collect works with Shopify Flow, so you can create simple automations based on customer activity.
When Media is Submitted: Create this trigger to alert your team when new content comes in—so you can review or respond quickly.
When Media is Approved: Set up actions like tagging the customer, sending a thank-you email, or offering a discount to encourage more content.
Example: If a customer uploads a video, you can automatically tag them as "Moast Video" and send them a discount code as a thank you.

Troubleshooting
Having trouble collecting or displaying content? Here are a few quick fixes:
Uploads not working? Make sure the files are in supported formats like .jpg or .mp4 and don’t exceed size limits.
Media not showing in your widgets? Make sure the content has been approved in your Moast dashboard. Unapproved content will not appear in your Moast widgets.
Shopify Flow automation isn’t running? Open Shopify Flow and confirm that your triggers are set up correctly and connected to the right actions.
