Moast Feeds gives you full control over the content you showcase on your site. Tag your media, create curated feeds, and display the right content where it matters most.
Option 1: Create Custom Feeds Using Tags
Tags are the easiest way to organize large content libraries and group similar videos or photos together (ex: “Skiing”, “Unboxings”, “Recipes”). Once your media is tagged, you can use those tags to build automatic feeds that update themselves.
Step 1: Add Tags to Your Media
Go to Media in your Moast dashboard.
Click any video or image.
In the Tags section, add or select a tag (ex: "ski", "summer", "review").
Repeat for all media you want grouped together.
You can also bulk tag your content directly from the Media Library:
Select multiple videos or images
Click the three dots (More actions) in the top right
Choose Add tags
Apply the tag you want
Step 2: Create a New Feed
Go to Feeds in the left sidebar.
Click Add Feed.
Name your feed (ex: “Recipe Feed”).
Add a condition (make sure your media selection is on Automatic):
Tag is: choose the tag you applied (ex: “Recipes”).
Save your feed.
Your feed will now automatically include every piece of media with that tag.
Step 3: Add the Feed to a Widget
Open your Shopify Theme Editor.
Select the Moast widget you want to update.
At the top of the settings, look for the Feed dropdown.
Choose your new feed (ex: “Recipe Feed”).
Save.
To make things easy, we’ve put together a quick video walking you through everything: how tags work, how to create a feed, and how to get the most out of this feature.
Option 2: Create a Feed Manually
Manual feeds let you hand-pick the exact videos and images you want in a feed, without using tags. This is perfect when you’re creating a small curated feed (for example: “Homepage Highlights,” “New Arrivals,” or “Holiday Campaign”) and don’t need tagging rules.
Here’s how to set one up:
Step 1: Create a New Feed
Go to your Moast Dashboard → Feeds
Click Add Feed
Under Media selection, choose Manual
Click the Add button — this will open your Moast media library
Select the videos and images you want included in the feed
Save your feed
Step 2: Add the Feed to a Widget
Open your Shopify Theme Editor.
Select the Moast widget you want to update.
At the top of the settings, look for the Feed dropdown.
Choose your new feed (ex: “Recipe Feed”).
Save.
Using Tags and Manual Selection in the Same Feed
You’re not limited to choosing just one method. Moast lets you combine tags and manual selection in a single feed, giving you maximum control.
This means you can:
Start with a tag-based feed to automatically group related content
Then hand-pick extra videos or images you want added
Or remove specific pieces even if they match the tag conditions
Publish Your Feed
Once your feed is created, you can publish it directly from the Moast dashboard.
How it works:
Open the feed you want to use
Go to the Feed Publishing section on the right and click "Add to theme"
Choose the widget you want to display the feed in
Select the page where the widget should be added
Moast will automatically add the widget to the selected page. After that:
In the widget settings
Select your feed from the feed dropdown
Click Save
You’ll also see a status badge on each feed showing whether it’s in use and which widget it’s active in, making it easy to keep track of where your feeds are published.
