Why Video Quality May Be Lower on Mobile

Learn why Moast videos can appear lower quality on mobile devices and how to ensure the best playback.

Updated today

Video quality on mobile devices can sometimes look lower than on desktop, even with the same internet connection. This happens because mobile devices and browsers automatically adjust video quality to optimize speed, reduce buffering, and ensure smooth playback.

If you want videos to always play at the highest quality, go to your Moast dashboard and navigate to:

Settings > Widget Settings > Playback Mode

Set the mode to Quality, and videos will play at the best resolution. Keep in mind that this may slightly affect load times or performance on slower connections.

⚠️ Quality mode will load the highest file size for all customers, resulting in videos taking longer to show up on the site and consuming more data.
