Moast integrates with Klaviyo so you can use your video embeds directly inside your email campaigns without copying and pasting code.
Once connected, your email embeds are available in Klaviyo as universal content blocks, ready to drop into any email.
Step 1: Create a Klaviyo API Key
To connect Klaviyo, you first need to generate an API key.
In Klaviyo:
Go to Settings
Click API keys
Click Create Private API Key
Select Custom Key
⚠️ Make sure the following permission is enabled:
Templates → Full Access
Then click Create and copy your API key.
Step 2: Connect Klaviyo in Moast
In Moast:
Go to Settings > Integrations
Select Klaviyo
Paste your API key
Save
What happens when the integration is on
Once connected:
Every email embed you create in Moast is automatically sent to Klaviyo
It appears under Universal Content in Klaviyo
You can insert it into emails without using HTML
This means you can manage everything from Moast and use it instantly in Klaviyo.
How to use your embeds in Klaviyo
In Klaviyo:
Open your email campaign or flow
Add a Universal Content block
Select your Moast email embed
That’s it, your video preview will appear in the email.
Creating your email embed
Step 1: Create an Email Embed
Go to Email embeds in your Moast dashboard
Click Add email embed
Select the video you want to use
You can also create an email embed directly from your Media Library by opening a video and clicking “Email embed” at the top.
Step 2: Customize the Embed
You can customize how your embed looks:
Name – for internal use
Link (optional) – Where the video should link to when clicked.
If left blank, the embed will link to the video on your homepage (the video must be part of a widget on your homepage).
If you want to link to a video on a different page:
Open the video on your site
Click the share icon (if you have the share icon available)
Copy the video link
Paste it into this field
This lets you link directly to a specific video, as long as it’s available on your site.
Preview duration – how long the preview plays
Aspect ratio – vertical or other formats
Width – size of the embed in your email
Rounding – corner style
Show play icon – toggle play button on/off
Once you're ready, click Generate.
📌 Note: After clicking Generate, it can take up to a minute for your email embed to be ready.
Add your embed to Klaviyo
Once your Klaviyo integration is connected, you can send your embed directly to Klaviyo.
Go to Email embeds
Find the embed you want to use
Turn on the toggle under “In Klaviyo”
This will automatically make the embed available in Klaviyo under Universal Content, so you can insert it into your emails without copying any code.
