If you're experiencing any issues with the app you can reach out to our support team within Mobius Settings or by giving your device a vigorous shake, and a message will pop up on how we can help you but we've included a list below to help guide you outside of our support hours:

How to Force-Quit

Force Quit app and Login Fresh

  • On an iPhone X or later, or an iPad with iOS 12 or later, or iPadOS, from the Home Screen, swipe up from the bottom of the screen and pause slightly in the middle of the screen. On an iPhone 8 or earlier, double-click the Home button to show your most recently used apps

  • Swipe right or left to find the app that you want to close.

  • Swipe up on the app's preview to close the app.

  • Additionally, restart the computer QR application or if using USB, try replugging it it and make sure it lights up.

Test Internet Connection - Mobius Conveyor works best when you have a fast, reliable internet connection. If WiFi isn't optimal where you're located, try using your cellular data.

To check your internet connection, go to Settings > Network Test > Support & Reference. From there, open Network Test and tap "Start Test" in the upper right-hand corner. You will see a progress bar showing that the test is in progress. After a few seconds, the results will populate for four variables: Latency, Jitter, Download Speed, and Upload Speed.

Additionally, you might try disabling and reenabling WiFi on your i-device.

Disabling Bluetooth - Disabling Bluetooth can prevent any other interference with the app. However, you'll want to keep Bluetooth enabled if you're using a Bluetooth headset while dictating.

Other Potential Issues and Fixes

Computer QR Code Issue – Make sure the mouse cursor is not covering the QR, and the camera is focusing properly.

Dictation not appearing on Mac when using Mobius Conveyor QR - If you have successfully scanned the Conveyor QR code on your computer, but your live dictation is not being typed where you've placed your blinking cursor, you'll want to follow these directions: https://intercom.help/mobius-md/en/articles/4438557-how-to-check-your-mac-computer-s-permissions-for-conveyor-qr

Low Power Mode – Low power mode essentially throttles the data connection and reduces the power available to the CPU. As a result, apps run more slowly and do not have the full capabilities of the device at their disposal. I've included the directions below to disable it:

  • Open your i-device's Settings

  • Scroll down and tap Battery

  • If Low Power Mode is enabled, move the slider to the left to turn it off

  • From there, Force Quit Mobius and re-log into Mobius

Test out your microphone – If your dictation isn't populating on the computer when you're dictating, follow the steps below to help troubleshoot:

  • Disable Bluetooth to prevent interference

  • Go to your iPhone's Voice Memo App, dictate a passage, and then listen to it to check for microphone quality

  • You can also test your microphone input volume within Settings > Accessibility > Input Levels.

  • Make sure your computer cursor is where you want the words to appear

  • Please Note: If you're using an iPhone and on a phone call, you'll need to hang up before being able to dictate.

Mac Keyboard Spacing Issue - If you encounter any spacing issues when dictating on a Mac computer, follow the two steps below to resolve it:

  • Open “System Preferences” by clicking on the Apple button in the top-left corner of your computer, and then select “System Preferences”. Then select “Keyboard”.

  • Then select “Text” from the top menu option and make sure “Add Period with double-space” does not have a checkbox.

Universal Clipboard issue – disable and reenable Bluetooth, it could be a Bluetooth misconnection issue.
