What Is Section Planning?

Section Planning is your starting point for preparing Lessons within a Section. It gives you a snapshot of everything you need to know and access before students begin.


What's in Section Planning?

  1. Assessments: Links to assessments for the section, along with guidance on how and when to use them.

  2. Planning Materials: Resources to help you and your students stay organized and on track:

    1. Student Checklist: A checklist students use to track their progress through lessons. You can make a copy and edit it to fit your classroom's needs.

    2. Progress Tracking Slides: Includes a Whole-Class Tracker so that students and you can monitor pacing quickly.

  3. Key Vocabulary: The key terms students will encounter throughout the section.

  4. Closing Routines: A link to the Closing Routine Menu. Closing Routines are completed daily to help students reflect and synthesize their learning.
