While many events are free for members including our orientation welcome session, some in-person events are ticketed at an additional cost to cover venue and experience costs such as food, beverage, service charges/gratuity, instructor fees (if applicable to the meetup), and more.
Some events may also require a nominal deposit to ensure a committed attendance. Deposits are refunded within 72 hours after the event upon verified attendance.
In the past, we observed high no-show rates at free events, which was disappointing for many attendees. Deposits and tickets help us cover any venue fees for no shows and ensure a better turnout and a more valuable experience for everyone involved.
If events are ticketed, pricing typically ranges from $10-50 depending on the event type or venue.
Meetup events are first come, first serve and we add new meetups regularly to ensure there are enough spots for all members.
