Updated over 2 weeks ago

Cancel Overview

Morningstar Investor Subscriptions may be cancelled at any time by contacting Morningstar’s support team. Trial cancellations take effect immediately without charge, while paid subscriptions remain active until the end of the billing term, with no further renewals billed.

Free Trial Cancellations

  1. New subscribers are offered a 4-week (28-day) free trial.

  2. If you cancel during your trial, access will end immediately and you will not be charged.

  3. Each customer is eligible for one trial.

  4. Trials are not transferable between accounts.

Paid Subscription Cancellations

  1. You may cancel your subscription at any time.

  2. When cancelled during a paid term, your subscription will remain active until the end of your current billing cycle.

  3. You will continue to enjoy all Premium features until that date, and no further renewal payments will be taken.

  4. If you wish to stop auto-renewal, you can request to disable this feature. Your subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing period.

Refunds and Billing

  • Cancelling stops future billing.

  • No partial refunds are provided for unused time within a billing term.

  • If a refund is applicable, our support team will confirm the details with you during the cancellation process.

  • A 14-day cooling-off period applies after auto-renewal, during which you can request a refund. Refunds beyond this period are subject to approval on a case-by-case basis.

How to Cancel

  1. Contact our support team (by phone or email)

  2. If you are already in a chat session with our virtual assistant, request to be connected to a human support agent.

  3. The support team will ask for the reason for cancellation (to help us improve and to ensure you are fully supported).

  4. After confirming your request, the support agent will complete the cancellation and guide you through the next steps.

What Happens After You Cancel

  • Access to Premium research, analysis tools, and reports will end once your billing term finishes.

  • Saved preferences, watchlists, or portfolios may no longer be accessible without an active subscription.

Reactivating Your Morningstar Investor Subscription

If your Morningstar Investor Australia subscription has been canceled or has expired, you can easily reactivate it to regain access to the platform.

To reactivate your subscription:

  1. Sign in using your existing account credentials.

  2. Upon successful sign-in, you will be automatically redirected to the payment page to complete the reactivation process.

Key Points to Remember

  • Cancellations stop future billing but do not trigger partial refunds.

  • You must cancel before your renewal date to avoid being charged for the next cycle.

  • Our support team is available to help with the process and answer questions.- Disabling auto-renewal ensures your subscription will not renew at the end of the current term, but you will retain access until the billing period ends.
