Setting Up Online Payments via PayPal for Your Booking System

Integrating PayPal allows customers to make payments using their PayPal account or a credit/debit card. This guide outlines the steps to set up PayPal payments in your online booking system.

Prerequisites

  • Ensure you are using our latest booking system. If not, contact us to upgrade at no additional cost.

Step-by-Step Setup

  1. Create a PayPal Business Account

    • Visit PayPal and create a business account.

    • Confirm your contact information to prevent PayPal from holding received funds.

2. Generate API Credentials

  • Create an App:

    • Ensure Live mode is selected.

    • Click Create App.

    • Name your app (e.g., "Motasoft Online Payment") and click Create App.

  • Copy the Client ID. Click Show and copy the Secret.

3. Contact our support team and provide the Client ID and Secret.

4. Our support team will finalize the configuration on our end.

Viewing Payment Status in VGM

  1. Go to Financial > Shopping Baskets.

  2. The Merchant column will indicate if a payment has been received. (1) Open the shopping basket to view detailed payment information. (2)

    • Payment State:

      • Completed: Payment is successful.

      • Pending: May need to verify your PayPal account to resolve any pending payments.
