POA Slots in the Online Booking System
POA (Price on Application) slots allow customers to make booking requests for services that require a custom price, such as diagnostics, repairs, or manufacturer-specific services. Here’s how to create and manage POA slots in your booking system.
Creating a POA Slot
Click on Config in the top menu. Select Slots > Slot Types.
Click New in the top toolbar. In the New Slot Type window, fill out the following details:
Short Description: Repairs
Long Description: Submit a repair quote, and we will give you a call ASAP to get you booked in.
Ensure that the Type is set to POA.
Add the slot type to a slot type group under Web > Slot Type Groups.
Click Save.
Double-click the slot type you just created to edit it. Set additional options:
Prices > Price Overwrite: Add a snippet like “Get a quote”.
Web > Price Modifiers > Price Suffix: Add optional small print that appears below the price overwrite.
Your POA slot is now ready to be booked online.
Managing POA Booking Requests
Once the POA slots are live, customers can add these to their basket and complete their booking.
Booking Request Process:
Customers add the POA slot to their booking.
They enter their details and vehicle details.
In the final step, they select a preferred date and time.
Note: Unlike other slots, POA slots require you to confirm the price before finalizing the booking date and time.
Handling Booking Requests:
POA booking requests will appear in the following places within VGM:
Online Booking Requests Grid:
Navigate to Search > Online Booking Requests to view booking requests.
Shopping Baskets Grid:
Navigate to Financial > Shopping Baskets.
Event Grid:
Shopping baskets will also appear in the event grid on the side of VGM.
Communication and Confirmation:
You and the customer will receive a booking request confirmation.
Update the booking request status to track which customers have been contacted and which have been booked in.
