Selling or Trading a Drone with MPB

Learn what to include, how to pack and how to unbind your DJI drone before selling or trading with MPB.

Selling or trading a drone with MPB is safe, simple and secure. Just follow a few extra steps to make sure everything goes smoothly.

Include All Required Accessories

To get the full quote amount for your drone, be sure to include the key components needed for testing and resale.

Not all accessories listed under “What’s included” are strictly required to sell your drone to MPB — but missing items may reduce your final quote. These expected accessories vary by model and are shown during the quote process.

For most drones, we expect:

  • Remote controller
    ​

  • At least one battery (more may be required for full quote amount)
    ​

  • Battery charger or charging hub
    ​

  • Propellers
    ​

  • Gimbal guard or lens cover, if originally included

You can see the full list of expected accessories for your model under “What’s included” after submitting the quote. See the image below for an example.

Pack Your Drone Securely

To avoid damage in transit:

  • Wrap batteries individually

  • Use padding around the propellers

  • Place the drone and accessories in separate compartments or layers if possible

Unbind Your Drone Before You Ship

If you're selling or trading a DJI drone, you must unbind it from your DJI account before sending it to MPB. This removes your account’s link to the drone and allows us to test and resell the item.

  1. Open the DJI Fly app

  2. Go to Profile
    ​

  3. Tap Device Management
    ​

  4. Select the drone (if multiple are listed)
    ​

  5. Tap Value Added Service
    ​

  6. Tap Unbind Device
    ​

  7. Tap Next → Confirm
    ​

  8. Go to Account & Device
    ​

  9. Tap Remove Device from Account
    ​

  10. Tap Next → Confirm

If your drone is still bound to your account, our team won’t be able to process your quote or resell the item.

Battery Charge Rate

For DJI Drones, we will inspect the amount of charges a battery has had to help determine the condition grading of the item. This can be referenced below.

What happens if I forget to unbind my drone?

We’ll be unable to test or resell the drone until it’s unbound, which may delay your quote and payment. If your final quote shows the drone as declined due to this issue, please contact us.

Do you buy all drone brands?

We mostly support DJI drones, but you can always enter your model name during the quote process to see if it's eligible. If you don’t see your model, you can select “I can’t find what I am looking for”, as shown below.

What is a ‘Fly More Combo’?

A Fly More Combo is a bundle with extra accessories for DJI drones that provides better value and convenience. It can help extend flight time, improve charging options, and simplify transport.

Common extras include:

  • Additional batteries (usually 2–3 total)

  • Multi-battery charging hub

  • Car charger

  • Extra propellers

  • Shoulder bag or carrying case

  • ND filter sets (on select models)

  • Extra RC cables (Lightning, USB-C, etc.)

Inclusions vary by drone, so make sure to check the “What’s included” section for your model—like the examples shown here.
