MPB Condition Grading

Choosing a cosmetic condition for Buying, Selling, or Trading

Updated yesterday

At MPB, every item is carefully inspected and given one of five cosmetic condition ratings:

  • Like new

  • Excellent

  • Good

  • Well used

  • Heavily used

These conditions apply to all gear on our platform, whether you’re buying, selling, or trading. They help you understand what to expect when dealing with us and give you a guide for selecting the right condition.

Please note: Condition does not relate to the condition or inclusion of any accessories.

The Five MPB Cosmetic Conditions

Like new

As if your item(s) were brand new out of the box. Little to no sign of wear to the body or casing. Minimal or no dust, marks, or paint defects are present.

Pricing Factors

While MPB’s condition grades set the baseline for cosmetic appearance and pricing, other factors—such as functionality, included accessories, shutter count, etc.—can also influence the final price of an item or the value of a quote.
