As you may have noticed, we now offer both YouTube Music and YouTube Content ID. YouTube Music is a streaming service just like the others currently offered, while YouTube Content ID enables monetization on the video sharing platform.

When you select YouTube Content ID in the distribution release flow your music is registered in the YouTube Content ID database. A digital fingerprint is created for the audio, meaning that YouTube can detect whether a creator has used your music in a video. If YouTube successfully identifies your music, a monetization claim will be put on the video resulting in advertisements being played either before or during the video.

When you or someone else uses your music in a video, YouTube puts a monetization claim on the video and sends you a claim email with “Claimed by: Zebralution”.

!!! Please DO NOT react to these emails or dispute ZEBRALUTION claims !!!

Disputing might lead to your video to be blocked, and will complicate the Content ID management by MusicHub.

Thank you for your understanding.
