The world of AI generated music is new and constantly evolving. While the technology is opening up exciting avenues for creativity and accessibility, it is also creating opportunities for those who are looking to cheat the system and other artists.

As a result, at MusicHub we evaluate AI generated releases on a case by case basis. While we do accept AI generated recordings, it is important to be aware of the contexts in which such releases will not be accepted.

Please also note: When you include AI generated material as part of a release, you can only use your real name or a registered pseudonym in the composer and/or lyricist fields in the track details. You are not allowed to use the name of AI software or any other term in the composer and/or lyricist fields.

What AI generated content is NOT acceptable?

We do not accept the following AI generated content:

  • Deepfakes or unauthorised impersonations of another person’s voice

  • Tracks that incorporate existing lyrical content that you do not have explicit permission to use. (E.g. poetry from Goethe).

  • AI productions where a content generator has been ‘trained’ on an existing recording, or recordings, in order to create a very similar or ‘soundalike’ version.

  • Bulk uploads of AI generated releases. These will be judged on a case by case basis in the context of preventing streaming fraud.

  • Poor quality or over-compressed AI generated content.

  • In general MusicHub does not accept audio files in MP3 format. Similarly, we do not accept AI recordings that have audibly been rendered to MP3 and then converted to WAV.

  • Recordings that have audibly been rendered to MP3 and then converted to WAV.
