How can I refund a lesson block to a student?

For teachers: Refund a single lesson or a block of lessons

Updated over 3 months ago

This article refers to a refund via a Block of Lessons. If your query is regarding a Lesson Offer, please follow the refund process for Lesson Offers.

When a student requests a lesson to be refunded, the first step is to be clear on the process you need help with:

  • A Refund is where lessons paid for by a student are returned to them unused as cash. In other words, the student gets their money back

  • A Reimbursement is the cancellation of a lesson from the calendar, returning it to the student’s account for future use

As a teacher, you cannot process a refund but should email the request to info@musicteachers.co.uk. We will refund the funds back to the student.

Actions by you:

  • If the lesson is still in the calendar, it must be reimbursed, before it can be refunded. Cancel the lesson to reimburse it to the student’s account, and email info@musicteachers.co.uk to request the refund

  • If the lesson is still in the calendar and the lesson date has already passed, email info@musicteachers.co.uk and request a refund, or reimbursement

  • If the lesson is already in the student’s account, email info@musicteachers.co.uk and request a refund

A refund of a block of lessons.

Where a student has purchased a block of lessons, a refund can be given on any unused lessons up to 12 months from the date of purchase.
