How to Identify Which Books Were Actually Sent to Amazon FBA

Learn how to identify which items were actually sent to Amazon FBA by checking your shipments and inventory filters.

Updated over 2 weeks ago

If you’re seeing a large list of items (like books requiring approval) and aren’t sure which ones were actually sent to Amazon, this guide will help you narrow it down.

Sometimes Amazon shows all listed items—including ones that were never shipped—so it’s important to verify what was truly included in your FBA shipments.

Method 1: Check Your FBA Shipments (Most Accurate)

The best way to confirm what you actually sent is by reviewing your shipments.

  • Go to Shipping Queue / Manage Shipments in Seller Central

  • Open each shipment you created

  • Review the list of items and quantities inside

👉 This shows exactly what was packed and sent to Amazon.

Method 2: Use Manage FBA Inventory

You can also check what Amazon currently has or is receiving:

  • Go to Inventory → Manage FBA Inventory

  • Use filters such as:

    • Inbound (items being received)

    • Available (items already checked in)

👉 This helps you quickly see which items are actually in FBA.

Why This Matters

The lists you see in Seller Central (like “Requires Approval”) may include:

  • Items you listed but never shipped

  • Old or inactive listings

This can make it look like you have more affected inventory than you actually do.

Quick Tip ✅

Always verify your shipments before taking action (like removal or disposal), so you don’t make changes to items that were never sent in.
