What is a Removal Order?

A removal order lets you:

  • Return inventory back to you

  • Dispose of inventory through Amazon

👉 This is commonly used for:

  • Restricted or unsellable items

  • Excess inventory

  • Items nearing expiration

Step 1: Go to Manage FBA Inventory

  • Log in to Amazon Seller Central

  • Go to:
    Inventory → Manage FBA Inventory

  • Find the item(s) you want to remove

  • Check the box next to each item

👉 You can select multiple items at once

Step 3: Create Removal Order

  • Click Action on Selected

  • Select Create Removal Order

Step 4: Choose Removal Method

You’ll be asked how you want to handle the items:

  • Return-to-address → items will be shipped back to you

  • Dispose → Amazon will discard the items

👉 Recommended: Choose Return if you want to resell or inspect them

Step 5: Enter Quantity

  • Input how many units you want to remove

  • You can remove partial or full quantities

Step 6: Enter Return Address (If Applicable)

If you selected Return:

  • Enter your shipping address

  • Confirm the details

Step 7: Review and Submit

  • Review all details carefully

  • Click Submit

Step 8: Track Your Removal Order

  • Go to:
    Orders → Removal Orders

You’ll be able to:

  • Track status

  • View shipped items

  • Check completion

Processing Time ⏱️

  • Removal orders typically take a few days to a few weeks
