What Are Policy Compliance Violations?
Amazon requires sellers to follow its selling policies. When Amazon detects a potential violation, it may appear in the Policy Compliance section of your Account Health dashboard.
These violations can affect your Account Health Rating and, depending on their severity, may put your selling account at risk.
What Types of Issues Can Appear?
Policy Compliance can include different types of violations depending on your products and selling activity. Sellers should review the specific violation displayed in Seller Central because Amazon provides information about the affected listing or activity and the action required.
Amazon categorizes policy violations by severity, including critical, high, medium, and low.
What Should You Do If You Receive a Violation?
Start by opening the violation in your Account Health dashboard and carefully reviewing Amazon's explanation.
Follow the instructions Amazon provides to resolve or appeal the violation. Provide accurate documentation when requested and address violations as quickly as possible.
Do not assume that simply deleting the affected listing resolves the issue. Amazon states that deleting a listing with a violation does not automatically improve your AHR; the violation itself must be successfully addressed.
Where Can You Find Policy Violations?
Go to:
Seller Central → Performance → Account Health → Policy Compliance
Review this area regularly even if your account currently appears healthy.
Why Is Policy Compliance Important?
Unresolved violations can lower your Account Health Rating and potentially lead to restrictions or account deactivation. Addressing violations promptly helps protect your ability to continue selling on Amazon.
For serious fraudulent, deceptive, illegal, or harmful activity, Amazon may take immediate action regardless of the seller's AHR.
