Your image files need to be in JPEG or PNG format to upload to the MyCanvas website. Here are a few ways you can convert your PDFs to JPEGs.
Convert PDF to JPEG with Preview on a Mac
Find your PDF on your computer, right-click on your PDF, and select "Open with" followed by "Preview".
On the Preview menu bar, click "File > Export..."
Select "JPEG" as the format and set the resolution to 300 pixels/inch
Save to your computer
Locate the new JPEG file on your device to upload to MyCanvas
Convert PDF to JPEG with Adobe Acrobat Reader
Find your PDF on your computer, right-click on your PDF, and select "Open with" followed by "Adobe Acrobat Reader"
Click the "View > Tools > Export PDF > Open" in the top menu bar
Then, select "Image" from the "Convert To" dropdown menu, choose the "JPEG" option, and select the highest quality
Click the "Export to JPEG" button
Locate the new JPEG file on your device to upload to MyCanvas
Convert PDF to JPEG with Adobe Photoshop
Find your PDF on your computer, right-click on your PDF, and select "Open with" followed by "Adobe Photoshop"
Click the "File > Export > Export As..." in the top menu bar
Select "JPG" as the format and choose the highest image quality
Choose the location you'd like to save your JPEG file
Locate the new JPEG file on your device to upload to MyCanvas
Convert PDF to JPEG with an Online Converter
There are many free file converters online to choose from. If you only need to convert one file, we recommend Adobe Acrobat's PDF to JPEG online converter.
Simply upload your PDF file, wait a few seconds for the website to process the file, then select the "Convert to JPG" button.
Your JPEG file will download as a zip file. Open the zip file on your computer to access the new JPEG image.
