Getting started with MyDoge v3
What is MyDoge v3?
MyDoge v3 is the next version of the MyDoge mobile wallet. It combines your Classic Wallet with a Social Wallet, adds support for multiple networks and swaps, and brings MyDogeTip on X into the new app. MyDoge remains self-custodial: you control your wallet and are responsible for keeping its recovery information secure.
Where do I download or update MyDoge?
Update your existing MyDoge app through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Follow the upgrade prompts when you first open v3. You do not need to delete your existing app first.
What should I do before upgrading?
Make sure your existing wallet’s seed phrase is safely backed up. If you use an encrypted cloud backup, make sure you have access to that backup and its password. Keep this information private, and follow the in-app upgrade prompts.
What happens to my existing DOGE and wallet?
Your original v2 wallet becomes your Classic Wallet, using the same seed phrase, private key and Dogecoin address. Updating the app does not itself send your DOGE to a new address. Your username, profile picture and existing wallet cloud backups remain available.
You may choose to transfer DOGE to your separate Social Wallet. That transfer is optional and is an on-chain transaction with a network fee.
What is the difference between Classic Wallet and Social Wallet?
Classic Wallet preserves your existing wallet and its recovery phrase. Social Wallet provides account access through supported sign-in methods, with additional account-protection and recovery options. They are separate wallets, so check which wallet is selected before receiving or sending funds.
Both wallets can hold native DOGE. “Classic” and “Social” identify wallet types; they do not mean that one balance is on Dogecoin and the other is on DogeOS. Open the wallet selector on the Wallet tab to switch between them.
Select the wallet you intend to use.
Which networks does v3 support?
MyDoge v3 supports Dogecoin, Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, BNB Chain, Arbitrum One, Base, Optimism and Polygon, plus DogeOS Chikyū Testnet. Check the network shown for each asset and use the matching network when sending or receiving it.
Is DogeOS mainnet available in this release?
No. DogeOS support at the v3 launch is limited to Chikyū Testnet. This release does not offer the DogeOS mainnet bridging, staking, borrowing or yield features described in earlier draft material. Testnet assets are separate from your real DOGE on the Dogecoin network.
Is Questing available?
Yes. Questing is available at launch. Follow each quest’s in-app instructions and eligibility requirements. Refer to the individual quest for its terms and any rewards.
Sending, receiving and tipping
How do I receive or send DOGE?
On the Wallet tab, select the wallet you want to use and choose Receive or Send. Use the receiving address for the intended wallet and network. Before sending, check the destination, amount and fee. If you are withdrawing from an exchange or another wallet, use its withdrawal process to send native DOGE to your MyDoge Dogecoin address.
For purchases, choose Buy and follow the options available in your app. Providers and payment methods may vary by location.

How does MyDogeTip work in v3?
MyDogeTip lets you request a DOGE tip on X, then confirm the transfer in MyDoge. Both sender and recipient must use v3 and connect their X accounts through Connect X in the app’s side menu.
Use @MyDogeTip tip @recipient 4.2, replacing the recipient and amount. The minimum is 0.01 DOGE. Check Activity → Notifications for the tip. Posting on X does not send DOGE automatically: the sender must confirm and authorize the transaction.
Tips for recipients who have not finished setup remain pending until claimed. Claiming makes the tip available for the sender to confirm; it does not itself complete the payment.
Funding matters: Classic Wallet or Social Wallet can fund the final transfer, but the bot checks the sender’s Social Wallet balance before accepting the tip request. If that balance is insufficient, the bot rejects the request even when Classic Wallet has DOGE.
Read the MyDogeTip guide for setup, screenshots, pending tips and confirmation steps.
What fees should I expect?
Sending DOGE—including transferring it between Classic and Social Wallets or confirming a tip—requires a Dogecoin network fee. The amount depends on the transaction and network conditions. Check the fee shown before authorizing a transfer.
For purchases and swaps, review the quote and any provider, service or network fees shown before proceeding. Do not assume that every activity has the same fee.
Can I swap assets?
Yes. Use Swap for the pairs and routes available in the app. Availability depends on the assets, network, liquidity, provider and location. Review the receiving asset, network, quoted amount and fees before confirming.
Recovery, security and help
How do I back up or recover my wallet?
Classic Wallet: keep your original seed phrase safe. You can recover the wallet with that phrase or your encrypted cloud backup and its password. MyDoge support cannot supply a lost seed phrase or backup password.
Social Wallet: supported access methods include X, Google, Apple and email. Set up email and two-factor authentication while you still have access; these provide recovery options if you lose your original social sign-in. A seed phrase is also available through the app’s secure verification process.
Review your Social Wallet access options under Settings → Authentication Methods. Do not assume that access to one wallet automatically recovers the other.
Review your account access and security settings.
How do I keep my wallet safe?
Never share your seed phrase, private key, backup password or verification codes. Do not take screenshots of your seed phrase. Enable the app’s available PIN, biometric and two-factor protections, and keep recovery information somewhere only you can access.
Check recipient addresses and networks carefully. Once a transaction has been sent on-chain, cancelling a notification cannot reverse it. Be suspicious of anyone asking you to send money or reveal recovery information to unlock a tip or fix your wallet.
What happened to Doginals, DRC-20 and the old social features?
Doginals and DRC-20 are sunsetted and unavailable in MyDoge v3. If you used these features, refer to MyDoge’s announcement on X for guidance.
The old MyDoge following/followers feature is not supported in v3. Do not use the old Dogeverse posting walkthrough as instructions for the new interface.
Why can’t I see my old balance?
First, check that Classic Wallet is selected for your original v2 funds. Confirm you are looking at the intended token and network, and that you recovered or imported the correct wallet. Signing into a different account or viewing Social Wallet can show a different balance.
If the balance still looks wrong, contact support with the app version, public wallet address and relevant transaction ID. Do not delete or recreate your wallet as a troubleshooting step before checking that you can recover it.
What should I know before deleting the app or removing a wallet?
Confirm that you have working recovery information for every wallet you need to keep. Removing local wallet data or uninstalling the app does not reverse blockchain transactions or move funds to another wallet. If you are unsure which recovery method applies, contact support before proceeding.
Where can I get help and official updates?
Open the app’s side menu and choose FAQ to reach the Help Center. Use MyDoge’s in-app support for account or wallet questions. For official updates, visit mydoge.com or @MyDoge on X.
Support will never need your seed phrase, private key or verification codes.
