Discount codes are a valuable tool to encourage sales during the pre-sale period, product launch phase, or to drive sales. At Mygocu, we recommend always using them tied to specific dates or themes to avoid devaluing the product: Black Friday, launch campaigns, loyalty rewards, etc.

How to Create a Discount Code

To create a discount code, log in to Mygocu.com with your username and password. Once in the Mygocu admin panel, go to the side menu, select settings, and you will see the discount codes button.

Click on discount code and start creating your discount code.

  1. Enter the discount code you will distribute and select if the code will be a percentage of the total amount the attendee will pay (deposit, reservation, or full payment of the trip) or a specific amount, such as €20.

  2. Enter the "maximum quota" field with the number of times the discount can be used for the experience.

  3. Select the date until which the discount code can be used.

  4. Select the category "all."

  5. Fill in the minimum amount the user must pay for the discount to apply.

  6. Choose whether you want to encourage full or single payment, or if you prefer that all users, regardless of the payment they make, benefit from the discount. This field is designed to encourage full payment for the experiences, so that the planner has more cash flow.

  7. Select the trip status in which the discount code will work:

  • Published: from when the trip is published until the deadline for the last payment.

  • Paid: after the deadline for the last payment has passed.

8. Complete the description of the code.

Finalize the creation of the discount code and share it with the users you want to apply it. Users will be able to apply the discount code when booking the experience in the field that appears below the trip and services summary. In this case, we can see how the discount is itemized below the summary and reflected in the total price of the trip.
