How it Works
During the Inventory Sync process, the system checks if an Allocation Percentage rule exists for the specific channel setup:
Standard Mode (No Value): If no percentage is set, the system bypasses the calculation mode and syncs 100% of the available inventory directly.
Calculation Mode (Value Exists): If a percentage is defined, the system calculates the final quantity using the following formula:
Final Sync Quantity = Floor (Available Quantity * (Allocation Percentage / 100))
Rounding Rule: Results always use a Floor strategy, meaning they round down to the nearest whole number to prevent overselling (e.g., a result of 3.9 becomes 3).
Prerequisites
Sync Inventory Toggle must be set to Yes on the Store Setup.
Inventory Sync Method must be set to Available (Shopify Only). This feature does not apply to "On Hand" sync methods.
Setting Allocation Percentages by Channel
The setup process varies slightly depending on whether the channel supports multiple locations (Shopify) or is store-wide (Amazon and WooCommerce).
1. Shopify: Location Based Allocation
For Shopify, you can set a unique percentage for every mapped Shopify location.
Navigate to Integrations → Store Integrations.
Select your Shopify store and go to the Configuration tab.
Locate the Inventory section and find the Location Based Inventory Allocation.
Shopify Location: Select the target Store Location where this allocation percentage will apply. This list displays the Shopify Locations you have previously mapped in the Warehouse tab.
Allocation Percentage: Enter an integer value between 0 and 100.
Click Add. The rule will appear in the list below.
Click Save at the bottom of the drawer.
Shopify Allocation Scenarios
The table below illustrates how a sample item, SKU1, is synced when different Shopify Stores and Locations are linked to different Logiwa Warehouses:
Shopify Location | Logiwa Warehouse | Allocation Percentage | Sellable Quantity | Synced Quantity |
Chicago Store | Main Warehouse | 100% | 50 | 50 |
Atlanta Store | Main Warehouse | 50% | 50 | 25 |
London Store | Europe Warehouse | 20% | 15 | 3 (Floor of 3.9) |
Berlin Store | Europe Warehouse | 0% | 15 | 0 |
Istanbul Store | Europe Warehouse | Empty | 15 | 15 |
2. Amazon & WooCommerce: Store Based Allocation
For Amazon and WooCommerce, the allocation percentage applies to the entire store connection.
Navigate to Integrations → Store Integrations.
Select your Amazon or WooCommerce store and go to the Configuration tab.
Locate the Inventory section and find the Store Based Inventory Allocation area.
Store Name: Displays the name of the connected Store where this allocation percentage will apply. This field is read-only.
Allocation Percentage: Enter a value between 0 and 100.
Click Save.
Store-Based Allocation Scenarios
The table below illustrates how a sample item, SKU1, is synced for store-wide setups across different Logiwa Warehouses:
Store Name | Logiwa Warehouse | Allocation Percentage | Sellable Quantity | Synced Quantity |
Amazon-US | Main Warehouse | 100% | 75 | 75 |
Amazon-Canada | Main Warehouse | 50% | 75 | 37 (Floor of 37.5) |
WooCommerce-US | Main Warehouse | 0% | 75 | 0 |
WooCommerce-UK | Europe Warehouse | 75% | 100 | 75 |
Amazon-UK | Europe Warehouse | Empty | 100 | 100 |
Important Considerations
Data Validation: The field only accepts integers from 0 to 100. Negative values, decimals, or text entries are not accepted.
Clearing Values: If the Sync Inventory toggle is disabled or the Inventory Sync Method is changed to On Hand, any previously entered allocation values will be cleared to No Value upon Saving.
Migration: All existing integration setups have the allocation percentage field defaulted to No Value (Standard Mode) until a specific rule is defined.
