How to update an existing custom field.

Once you have created a customized field, you may want to go back and make changes from time to time. This guide will walk you through the quick and easy update process.

Step-by-Step Guide

  • This example walks through the process using the Products custom field section as an example. The process is the same in any of the available places custom fields can be created.

  • To begin, navigate to the Products screen.

    • If you have trouble locating this screen, please use the Search option on the menu bar.

  • Choose any existing product from the table.

  • From the Edit Product sidebar, navigate to the Other Info tab.

  • Click the Add/Edit Custom Field option.

  • Hover over the Pen (Edit) icon for any custom field card that you wish to update, then click on it.

  • In the pop-up screen, you can edit the custom field, set its status, or change the listed items (if modifying a dropdown).

    • Please note that you can't change the listed items for the other types of custom fields. This is only available for dropdowns.

  • After you are done making changes, click on Save button.

  • Click on Add To Form button at the bottom of that screen so that the changes can be reflected.
