Add LP Capacity to a Location

How to add LP capacity to a location along with minimum/maximum volume, quantity, and replenishment info.

If you want to define different capacities between predefined LP types and your locations, this guide will walk you through that process.

Before setting a location's LP capacity, you'll need to have LP Types created for your warehouse. Learn more here.

In addition, setting an LP capacity to a location impacts the system in the ways below:

  • Replenishment tasks for LPs will be created regarding LP capacity that is defined to the target locations.

  • The putaway algorithm suggests target locations by regarding the LP capacity if it's set as an action.

Step-by-Step Guide

  • To begin, navigate to the Locations screen.

  • From the Locations page, select the location you wish to edit by clicking the Location Code or selecting the 3 Dots menu and clicking Edit.

  • The Edit Location sidebar will open.

  • Click LP Capacity to jump to this section.

  • Click the Add Capacity button. A pop-will will load with a number of fields, defined below:

Field

Description

LP Type*

Dropdown that lists the LP types you've added to Logiwa. Choose one. Required.

Min Volume

The minimum volume of the LP for this location.

Max Volume

The maximum volume of the LP for this location.

Min Qty

The minimum quantity of the LP for this location.

Max Qty

The maximum quantity of the LP for this location.

Replenishment Threshold

Numerical threshold that indicates when LP will need replenishment.

Assign Product for this LP

Client

The client associated with the product to be assigned. Will enabled the Product dropdown.

Product

The product to assign to this LP.

  • You can Save once you've added the LP type, as this is the only required field.

  • The LP will now be listed.

  • You can continue adding LP capacity with the Add Capacity button. You can also use the 3-Dot menu to Edit and Delete LP capacity.

  • Make sure to Save your changes before exiting the Edit Location sidebar.
