What is MyRepublic Everywhere?

MyRepublic offers the MyRepublic Everywhere travel roaming service, which includes the MyRepublic Everywhere Pocket Wi-Fi and Travel eSIM services. The Pocket Wi-Fi is a portable device that, when activated, creates a secure Wi-Fi hotspot. This allows you and others nearby (with a password) to connect and access data services wherever you need.

What countries does MyRepublic EveryWhere Pocket Wi-Fi cover?

MyRepublic Everywhere Pocket Wi-Fi provides coverage in up to 80+ countries worldwide, ensuring you stay connected during your travels.

How can I sign up for MyRepublic Everywhere Pocket Wi-Fi?

You can download the app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store, visit our website or MyRepublic Everywhere Order Portal to explore available plans and sign up.

What functions are available in the MyRepublic Everywhere App?

With the app, you can manage your devices, view past orders, and monitor roaming data usage for the Pocket Wi-Fi device. You can activate the travel eSIM from the app, after purchase. You can also update your details, place new orders, and contact customer support for assistance.


What are the devices that can connect to MyRepublic Everywhere Pocket Wi-Fi?

The device is compatible with any Wi-Fi-enabled device, including laptops (such as Windows and Mac), smartphones (like iPhone, Android, Blackberry, and Windows Phone), tablets (including iPad, Samsung Galaxy, and Kindle), and other Wi-Fi-capable devices such as game consoles.

Can I make a phone call with MyRepublic Everywhere Pocket Wi-Fi?

No, the device only serves as a portable Wi-Fi device to provide data connection when connected.

How many devices can be connected to MyRepublic Everywhere Pocket Wi-Fi?

You can connect up to 8 different devices to one Pocket Wi-Fi. Please note that the connection speed will be shared among each device connected, so having eight devices connected at the same time could result in speed slowing down.

How long does the battery last?

The Pocket Wi-Fi with a fully charged battery will last up to 15 hours while connected to one device. The device can be charged via a USB or wall outlet.

Is there a deposit required for MyRepublic Everywhere Pocket Wi-Fi?

No, the deposit has been waived specially as a launch promotion.

How far in advance should I book?

To ensure availability of our Pocket Wi-Fi, we recommend placing your order at least 7 working days prior to your travel departure date

Upon placing an order, when will my Pocket Wi-Fi arrive?

Your Pocket Wi-Fi will be delivered within 3 - 5 working days before your travel date. Local delivery is chargeable at $6.50. You will be charged for both the delivery and the data plan when you place the order. Your plan will be automatically activated on your selected travel start date.

How can I return Pocket Wi-Fi at the end of my rental period?

If you have subscribed to a monthly subscription, please chat with our customer service representative via WhatsApp (+65 8044 9434) 3 days prior to your next billing cycle to avoid being charged for your next cycle. Pack the device and its accessories (Pouch, Cable) into the mailerbag provided and drop it into the SingPost mail box nearest to you. Please ensure that the device reaches us within 14 days of your termination date to avoid a non-return fee of $70.

If you have purchased a one-time Pocket Wi-Fi plan, then you must return the device and its accessories within 14 days of your trip’s End Date. Pack the device and its accessories (Pouch, Cable) into the mailerbag provided and drop it into the SingPost mail box nearest to you.

What happens if the Pocket Wi-Fi is not returned, is missing or damaged?

Please ensure that the device, charging cable, and the pouch reach us within 14 days of your selected travel end date. A fee of SGD $50 will be imposed if the device is not returned. If there is any loss of or damage to the device or accessories, the following fees will be imposed respectively:

  • Loss, Damage of the following items (inclusive of GST)

    • MyRepublic Everywhere Wi-Fi Device Charges (SGD): 50

    • Travel Pouch Charges (SGD): 10

    • USB Cable Charges (SGD): 10

How do I end my monthly subscription plan?

You may Whatsapp our support (+65 8044 9434) 3 days prior to your next billing cycle to prevent the recurring charge for your next cycle. Pack the device and its accessories (Pouch, Cable) into the mailerbag provided and drop it into the SingPost mail box nearest to you. Please ensure that the device reaches us within 14 days of your termination date to avoid a non-return fee of $70.


Pocket Wi-Fi Activation


How do I use the Pocket Wi-Fi?

  1. To turn On the Pocket Wi-Fi Device, Press and hold the power button for 3 seconds.

Tip: If you cannot turn on the portable hotspot device, please charge the device and wait for it to be fully charged)

2. Connect To Wi-Fi
3. Find the Wi-Fi network name and password at the back of the device and connect your device under Wi-Fi setting.

Wi-Fi Name: MyRepublic_XXXXXX (SSID)

Password: stated under SSID at back of device

What does the light indicator on the device stand for?

When will the deposit be processed?

Refunds will be processed within 4 - 6 weeks upon return and checking of the device. The refund amount will be credited to the credit card saved in your account.

Note: We are not collecting any deposit for the time being.


eSIM


What is eSIM?

An eSIM (embedded SIM) is a digital SIM card that can replace a physical SIM card. So instead of waiting to receive your physical SIM card, you can install an eSIM to your mobile device to get your service activated instantly.

When should I set up my eSIM after my purchase?

The start date of the eSIM will be on the day you activate the eSIM via the MyRepublic Everywhere App. Therefore, it is recommended that you activate and set up your eSIM when you arrive at the destination. Do note Wi-Fi connection is required to complete the installation process.

Can I keep my own number active while I have the eSIM installed in my phone?

Yes! If your phone supports dual SIM. You can adjust the settings of your phone and set mobile data to be utilized from the eSIM. Do ensure you turn off data roaming for your own number to avoid incurring other data roaming charges from your own number.

Can I make a phone call with the eSIM?

No, the eSIM only provides roaming data connection.


What are the compatible devices for the eSIM?

Please check your device manual or check with your device manufacturer to know if your device supports eSIM. Alternatively, you can check if you have the “Add eSIM” option within your device settings.

We have listed some devices that do or do not support eSIM. Please note that this list is not exhaustive.

Devices not supported:

  • Carrier-locked phones

  • Apple watches

  • iPhone XR, XS, and 11, 12, and 13 models purchased in Hong Kong, Macau, and Mainland China.

  • iPhone with 2 physical SIM card slots.

  • Samsung S20, S21, and certain series models originate from the USA and Hong Kong.

  • Certain Samsung devices from Canada.

  • Pixel devices purchased in Australia & devices on Android Q Beta versions.

Please get in touch with your local carrier/local device brand store to ensure your devices are eSIM capable.

SIM Installation Guide

To activate eSIM, Wi-Fi or Data connection is required

Apple / iOS:

1. Go to Settings, Open the Settings app on your iPhone.

2. Tap on "Mobile Data" or "Cellular"

3. Tap on "Add eSIM" or "Add Cellular Plan" or "Add Data Plan"

4. Tap "Use QR Code" & Scan eSIM QR that is shown on the MyRepublic Everywhere App.

5. Enable Data Roaming and you will be connected.


Samsung/Android:

1. Launch Settings > Connections.

2. Tap SIM card manager.

3. Select Add mobile plan.

4. Add using QR code, and then scan the QR code that is shown on the MyRepublic Everywhere App.

5. Enable Data Roaming and you will be connected.

Note: Make sure you have a stable internet connection while installing the eSim. The start date of the eSIM will be on the day you activate the eSIM via the MyRepublic Everywhere App. Therefore, it is recommended that you activate and set up your eSIM when you arrive at the destination.
