Setting it up
You can reward your customers with discounts when reaching a certain number of bookings/services or expenditure (but not for product sales). To understand how to set it up, see this article.
How customers receive stamps/rewards
When a customer makes a booking, the confirmation email they receive will include something like:
This booking will earn you 1 loyalty stamp. After your appointment, you will have a total of 1 stamp. You need 9 stamps to unlock your next reward.
The stamp is added to their customer record one hour after the appointment time.
Once a customer has accumulated enough stamps to earn a reward, they will receive an email with the subject 'You've earned a reward!' containing a discount code which they can apply to a future booking. This cannot be combined with other discounts as each booking only accepts one discount code.
Customers do not receive a stamp if:
The appointment was cancelled or marked as 'missed' by an admin.
A discount code (not through Loyalty) was applied to the booking. Bookings with Loyalty discounts can issue stamps if Bookings using this reward count towards the next reward is ticked on the reward settings:
The customer is part of a Membership scheme (see this article about the feature). Memberships offer benefits that do not combine with Loyalty rewards.
If you add or update a reward, it will not reward anyone who has the required stamp count. For example, if you lower the threshold from 10 to 5, a customer with 5 stamps currently will not receive the reward.
Tracking stamps/rewards
You can see how many stamps a customer has on their record and manually change the count if necessary:
Loyalty discounts that have been issued are listed within Business Boosters -> Discounts & Premiums, and can be distinguished by their randomly generated six-letter codes:
Any bookings made with a Loyalty discount are marked with a stamp icon:
Turning off Loyalty
You can do this by clicking [Turn Off Loyalty]
within Business Boosters -> Loyalty:
This will stop the issuing of stamps and rewards, but already issued rewards remain active and usable. You can stop these within Business Boosters -> Discounts & Premiums where Loyalty discounts can be distinguished by their randomly generated six-letter codes.
If Loyalty is turned off, customers' stamp counts are retained but hidden. If you then reactivate Loyalty, the counts will be restored to the numbers they were when Loyalty was turned off.
