Setting it up

Within Business Boosters > Feedback (needs to be enabled) > [Settings] (at the top-right), you can connect your shop to your Google/Facebook page here:

Click [Edit] against the shop to enter a Google Place ID and/or Facebook page URL:

Find your Google Place ID

If you have a Google Business Profile, find your Place ID here by entering your business name (as registered with Google) or shop address:

Then copy the Place ID:

If you do not have a Google Business Profile, you can register one here. Upon registering, it may take a few hours for your Place ID to activate and become searchable.

You can choose to redirect reviews to just Google, Facebook, or both at random:

Make sure to click [Test] to check that it goes to the correct page, otherwise, reviews may get redirected elsewhere.

The review process

After the customer's appointment, the system emails them to request a star rating:

You can configure the sending hours and feedback frequency etc. within Business Boosters > Feedback > [Settings] (at the top-right).

Feedback emails are scheduled at the time of booking. Appointments that were booked before Feedback was enabled will not prompt the customer for a review.

Upon giving a star rating, they are redirected to your website to optionally submit a comment (and answer custom questions if enabled):

This ends up on your booking system within Business Boosters > Feedback which you can choose to display on your homepage.

This comment step is omitted for 5-star ratings if you have Skip the detailed feedback form = Yes in your Feedback settings:

Only if the customer submits a 5-star rating, are they then redirected to your Google/Facebook page to post a public review:

Due to Google and Facebook's safeguards to prevent automated bot reviews, we cannot copy over feedback on the booking system, and the customer needs to be logged into Google/Facebook to post a separate public review on your page. Some without an account may opt not to create one and skip this, so you may see their reviews on the booking system but not on your Google/Facebook page.
