Manually recording tips
You can record a tip on the appointment record using the [Add Tip]
button:
Set the tip amount:
Include tip in balance = Unticked: The tip is excluded from the balance to pay:
On the Cashing Up report (accessible via Reports), it is not recorded as a payment:
Include tip in balance = Ticked: The tip is included in the balance to pay:
On the Cashing Up report, it is recorded as a payment:
You can see the total tips per staff member via Reports > Commission:
Tips on merged payments
If a customer has two appointments on the same day with different staff members, you can merge the two payments into one single transaction:
Like so:
If a tip is recorded, the system will split it proportionally between the staff members. Using the above example:
Kelly: £30 service
Chris: £40 service
If a £7 tip is recorded, £3 will be recorded against Kelly and £4 against Chris in the reporting.
Online tips
If you have enabled Online Payments, you can allow customers to add a tip when booking an appointment. This can be configured within Settings > Online Payments > [Settings]:
