The zoom controls sit below the drawing tools in the notebook's tool rail, down the left side of the open notebook, and they decide what both you and your student are looking at.
Zooming in and out
To open a notebook, click the Notebooks icon in the Controls bar, the dark gray strip along the bottom of the call window, right after Share Screen.
Click Zoom out or Zoom in in the tool rail to change the zoom level.
Check the current zoom percentage, shown between the controls, to see where the view sits. Click the percentage to fit the page width.
Click Whole page to fit one complete page in view. This is the quickest way back if the view ends up somewhere confusing. Clicking the words "Page" or "of 5" in the page indicator, such as "Page 2 of 5," in the middle of the top band does the same.
Click Page width to fill the width of the screen with the page.
In a short window, the zoom controls fold into one button that shows the zoom percentage. Click it to open Zoom out, Zoom in, Whole page, and Page width. The list stays open while you zoom.
Moving through the notebook
Scrolling moves up and down through the pages. There is no sideways panning, because the pages sit in a single column.
Drag the thin scrollbar along the right edge of the notebook to scroll through the pages, or click in its empty track to jump toward that spot. It appears only when the notebook has two or more pages.
Click the number in the page indicator, such as the 2 in "Page 2 of 5," in the middle of the top band, type the page you want, and press Enter to jump to it.
You can also use the arrows on either side of the page indicator in the middle of the top band, the strip across the top of the notebook. Each arrow fits the page you move to in view. See Using pages in a Nearo notebook.
What your student sees when you zoom
Your student has no zoom controls. Your student's view follows yours, including zoom, so whatever part of the page you are looking at is what your student sees. Your student has no page scrollbar or page number box.
đĄ If you are zoomed into one corner, that corner is all your student can see. Zooming out brings your student's view with you.
