The app expects data to be received from the ERP once every 24 hours. If the data import date is older than 24 hours, the date, shown on the top left of the navigation menu, will turn red, advising that the app is more than 24 hours behind the ERP data.

The app may also show an error message, indicating that something is wrong with the data import.

Correcting the Date

First, check the status of the import on the app. If the system logs into the app successfully, and an error is not displayed, it is likely in the queue waiting to be updated. If this is the case, the status will show as “Queued.”

Certain transactions, such as large sales volumes the previous day, might result in the import taking slightly longer than usual. This is normal, and the import should complete shortly.

Once a refresh is running, the app will log all users out of the system and advise the users that the update is in progress.

The app receives the date and time displayed on the app dashboard from the control file, which is imported daily. This control file sits on the client-side server, in the “to_netstock” folder, where it waits to be picked up.

If the file is manually generated and the to_netstock folder can be accessed by a user with sufficient permissions, open the file and check that the extraction date is correct. If the date is incorrect, then update the extraction date and reprocess the data. See the article here for how to refresh or reprocess the Netstock data. We recommend generating a new control file from the ERP, to ensure that the information in the file matches the ERP as closely as possible.

If the corrected extraction date on the control file is the same or older than the date shown on the app, the import will automatically fail, as the app always expects a more recently dated control file to be received. If this is the case, please contact a Netstock support consultant for assistance.

Should the Netstock data extraction process generate the control file automatically, then the Netstock support consultants would need to check what went wrong.

Correcting the Error

If a user logs in and there is an error message on the app, then an issue has occurred that has disturbed the import process. The information icon next to the error will provide details relating to the error, for example, if a particular file was missing that was required for the import.

Supposing that the error is solved using this information, please try and reprocess the data.

If the error is still being received, please log this with customer support.
