Create a topic

If you want to regularly monitor specific entities, keywords, or full-text queries, you can set up regular tracking in the form of Monitoring Topics. These topics also allow for further searches and actions.

To create a topic, click the "+" icon next to the "Topics" field. This will take you to a simple wizard that guides you through the setup process and explains how topics work.

Give your topic a name. By selecting "Activate Immediately After Creation", articles will begin to populate the topic from the moment it is created. Click Continue to proceed to the next step.

On the next page, enter your query. The search form works the same way as elsewhere in the application. (For tips on query creation, refer to the Search section. In this example, we’ll use full-text search with keywords and logical operators. A preview will display example articles that match your query and will be included in the topic.

In the final step, decide if you want to include data from previous days in the new topic. By default, articles will only populate the topic from the moment it is created. Adjust this setting as needed.

After clicking the "Create Topic" button, you're all set, and articles will now be regularly assigned to the topic in the left panel.

Edit an existing topic

Click the "Create Topic" button, and you're done! Articles will now populate the topic regularly, which will be visible in the left panel.

Existing topics can be found in the left column. To edit a topic, hover over the three dots next to the topic name. A menu with options will appear.

If this option isn’t available for a topic, it means the topic was created by our analysts outside the application. Please contact support via our chat for assistance.

You can also prioritize topics by selecting "Add to Favorites", which places them at the top of your list.
