Unable to Retrieve Nexar One's Interior or Cabin-Camera Video Recordings

This article will guide you in resolving issues with retrieving your Nexar One's interior or cabin-camera video recordings


The Nexar One road and interior or cabin view camera record simultaneously as you drive. However, the interior camera does not transfer automatically to the Nexar app to save phone space.

To retrieve interior or cabin-view camera footage through the Nexar app, you need to create a Clip while the phone is connected or paired to the Nexar One.


What to Do to Retrieve Nexar One Interior or Cabin-View Camera Footage From the Nexar App

After completing a drive with Nexar, remain near your Nexar One dash cam and make sure it is powered on. Then do the following to retrieve your interior or cabin-view camera videos:

Please ensure that you are only using the original cable, mount, and Nexar-provided power accessory that came with the camera to avoid any potential issues.

1. Make sure your phone's cellular data, Bluetooth, and WiFi settings are enabled.

2. Open the Nexar app.

3. Go to Videos.

4. Tap the video you want to watch.

5. Swipe the video to the left to switch to interior or cabin view.

We recommend saving important interior or cabin-view camera footage as a Clip to the Nexar app so it can also be uploaded to the cloud server. This way, you can access the video anytime and anywhere you want.


How to Address Issues When I'm Unable to Retrieve Nexar One’s Interior or Cabin-Camera Video Recordings in the App?


If you're having trouble retrieving Nexar One interior or cabin-view camera videos in the app, follow these steps:

1. Ensure the power plug is correctly inserted into the magnetic mount (not the add-on ports).

2. Connect the dash cam to power.

3. Turn off Low Power Mode (iOS) or Power Saving Mode (Android) in the phone's Settings app.

4. Turn on the phone's cellular data, Bluetooth, and WIFI.

5. Wait until the Nexar One's blue/white light stops blinking.

6. Open the Nexar app and wait until the dash cam status says Recording.

7. Tap the Videos tab.

8. Wait for 10 minutes while the Nexar One transfers all video and data to the Nexar app.

9. Refresh the Videos tab by swiping down on the screen and try viewing the video again.

10. If the issue remains, force close the app by following the steps below, then try again:

For iOS users: Swipe up from the bottom of the home screen > pause in the middle > swipe up on the Nexar app
For Android users: Tap the hamburger icon (three lines or dots) from the Navigation bar > swipe up on the Nexar app
