If Smartbuds won't connect during onboarding...

1. First, check your setup

  • Make sure your phone’s Bluetooth is on and that you’re using the latest version of the NextSense app.

  • Confirm that the case LEDs light up when each bud is inserted in the charging case.

    • When a Smartbud is seated properly, the corresponding case LED should light up. If it does, try re-seating the bud. If Smartbuds are not making contact with the case, they will not charge effectively and cannot establish Bluetooth connection with phone.

  • Keep the case very close to your phone when attempting to pair (within 10 cm).

2. Enter pairing mode

  • With the lid open, press and hold the case's back button for 3–5 seconds until the middle LED blinks. This puts your Smartbuds into pairing mode.

  • Reopen the NextSense app and follow the on-screen instructions to pair.

3. If pairing still doesn’t start, perform a factory reset:

  • Force close the app

  • Place both buds in the case and close the lid.

  • Press and hold the case button for 12 seconds until all 3 LEDs blink, then release.

  • Wait until the lights turn off, keep the lid closed for 10 seconds, then open it again.

  • Return to the app and retry pairing.
