How to add, edit, and manage Opportunity Documents

The Documents tab allows you to centralize all files and SharePoint document locations related to an Opportunity. This ensures your capture and proposal teams can easily access solicitation documents, proposal drafts, pricing files, and supporting materials in one place.

You can add documents by uploading files directly or connecting SharePoint sites and folders.

Note: to add or view a SharePoint site and it’s documents you must have logged in with your Microsoft account.


Accessing the Documents TabAccessing the Documents Tab

To add or manage Opportunity documents:

  1. Navigate to your Pipeline

  2. Click on the desired Opportunity

  3. Select the Documents tab

This tab displays all uploaded files and connected SharePoint locations associated with the Opportunity.


Adding Documents

Click the Add Attachment button to add documents. You will be presented with the following options:

  • Upload file – Upload documents directly from your computer

  • SharePoint Site – Connect and link an entire SharePoint site

  • SharePoint Folder – Connect and link a specific SharePoint folder

These options allow you to centralize all Opportunity-related materials within NextStage.


Connecting SharePoint

NextStage integrates with Microsoft SharePoint, allowing you to connect SharePoint sites and folders directly to your Opportunity.

To connect SharePoint:

  1. Click Add Attachment

  2. Select SharePoint Site or SharePoint Folder

  3. Click Authorize NextStage

  4. Sign in using your Microsoft account

Once connected, you can access SharePoint documents directly from the Opportunity.

Important: You must be logged in with your Microsoft account and have permission to access the SharePoint site or folder.


Uploading Files

To upload files directly to the Opportunity:

  1. Click Add Attachment

  2. Select Upload file

  3. Choose the file from your computer

Uploaded files will be stored within the Opportunity and accessible to your team.

This is useful for storing:

  • Solicitation documents

  • Proposal drafts

  • Pricing files

  • Capture plans

  • Supporting documentation


Managing Opportunity Documents

All uploaded files and connected SharePoint locations will appear in the Documents tab, where users can:

  • Access uploaded files

  • Open connected SharePoint folders

  • Remove attachments as needed

Maintaining documents within the Opportunity ensures capture and proposal teams have centralized access to all relevant materials throughout the capture and proposal lifecycle.
