Users can now set personal default filters to support and streamline work based on their role and responsibilities. These filter settings are available on the internal jobs page and candidate lists (both view all and by posting). In this guide, we will walk through how users can view and set their personal default filters in Nimble.

How Default Filters Are Used

Each Nimble user can set 3 unique filter defaults: one on their jobs page, another on their candidates view all page, and a third on their candidates by posting pages. Once a user sets her defaults on each of these pages, the filters will always default to those settings when she refreshes that page, or navigates to that page from anywhere else in the app. Of course, users can always adjust filters as needed from there.

Default Filter Examples

Internal admin who are responsible for a portfolio of schools or job categories in the job request process, may consider selecting the applicable "locations" they oversee as part of their default filters on the internal jobs page. This way, they will only see jobs and requests applicable to those locations by default when they navigate to the jobs page. The same can be done with job categories.

Staffing specialists who are responsible for a portfolio of schools or job categories in the onboarding process may consider selecting the applicable "onboarding locations" they own as part of their default filters on the candidates view all page.

HR team members who are responsible only for certain steps in the screening process may choose to select only the applicable "candidate status" in their personal default filter on the candidates by posting pages.

How to Set Your Default Filters

To set your default filters for a page, simply click the "set as my default" button and the current filters will be saved as your default.

As a reminder, users can find filters listed vertically on the left hand side of the internal jobs page or candidates list. When a filter is active you will see it highlighted in green.

When you first navigate to the internal jobs page or the candidates list you will notice the "set as my default" button at the bottom of the filter list is greyed out because the current filters are already set as your default.

If you'd like to select a new set of filters as your personal default when you land on a given page, you can simply select the filters you'd like to include in your default list, then click the "set as my default" button. If the button is greyed out, it's because the current filters are already set as your default.

When you click the button, you will see the "default set" confirmation with a checkmark, indicating that your default filters have been set to the current filters.

Now, whenever you return to this page or refresh the page, these filters will be enabled by default.
