Nimble / The State Partnership

  • What is Nimble?

    • Nimble is a one-stop-shop for educator workforce & hiring needs in Indiana, and is designed explicitly to help education organizations tackle staffing challenges by amplifying your jobs to more candidates and automating the hiring process.

    • Through OECOSL and IDOE’s partnership with Nimble, all regulated ECE and OST providers in IN are eligible to post jobs through Nimble and use the Nimble applicant tracking system (ATS) at no cost.

  • What is the partnership with the state?

    • IN has partnered with Nimble to support recruitment and hiring of professionals working with children from birth to grade 12. This partnership began with K12 organizations and is expanding to early childhood providers. By the end of 2023, thousands of ECE providers will have free access to a statewide job board to attract high quality talent, as well as tools to hire those professionals more quickly.

Nimble Offerings and Access

  • How do I gain access to Nimble?

    • Interested regulated ECE and OST providers in IN can apply for Nimble access through I-LEAD (note: Program Administrator access required).

  • What are the Nimble offerings and what do I get with each? What’s the cost associated?

    • There are two Nimble offerings which are free for providers: posting only and Applicant Tracking System (ATS).

      • Posting only: Organizations that opt into the posting only version of Nimble will be able to share their jobs to the statewide Indiana Educator Job Board.

      • Applicant Tracking System (ATS): Similar to the above, organizations that opt into the ATS version of Nimble will be able to share their jobs to the statewide Indiana Educator Job Board. In addition, organizations will enjoy a number of beneficial features, including automatic posting of jobs to leading job boards, a user-friendly hiring portal, and data dashboards that help drive hiring decisions.

        • See below to learn more about applicant tracking systems.

    • Providers can also take advantage of Nimble’s other offerings at a discounted rate. Including:

      • Onboarding module: Support for new hire onboarding, including digital offer letters and forms, custom profile fields, and customizable notifications.

      • Prospects module: Allows your team to proactively add prospects to the system so that you can cultivate them, invite them to upcoming events, and encourage them to apply for roles in your organization.

      • Data Transfer module: Autonomously transfer Nimble data into any HRIS. The Data Transfer Tool removes manual data entry and allows for auto-generated frequency of pulls, making data management easy.

  • What is an applicant tracking system (ATS)?

    • An applicant tracking system is a web platform used to store applications and manage applicants throughout the hiring process. This type of platform keeps all applicant information in one place, is customizable, and helps you hire the best talent quickly and efficiently.

  • How do I opt in?

    • Program Administrators can opt into Nimble (posting only or ATS) free of charge by completing the form through I-LEAD.

  • How much does Nimble access cost?

    • Both levels of engagement (posting only and ATS) are free of charge to all regulated ECE and OST providers in IN.

    • Additional modules can be provided at discounted rates. Contact support@hirenimble.com to learn more

  • How will Nimble help me find more candidates?

    • For both posting only and ATS accounts, jobs will be posted to the statewide Indiana Educator Job Board, exposing your organization to thousands of potential candidates.

    • For ATS accounts, Nimble's mobile friendly and customizable application makes applying to work with an educational organization easy and accessible, reducing the barrier for job seekers! In addition, jobs posted through Nimble’s ATS are shared with leading job boards - more information on that below!

  • Which third party job boards do I have access to through Nimble and how does the integration work?

    • For organizations using Nimble’s ATS, positions will be shared through a two-way integration with Indeed, ZipRecruiter, Glassdoor, and Google Jobs in order to push out your job posts to as many people as possible.

    • Candidates that apply through these sources will appear in Nimble automatically, alongside candidates who apply for positions directly.

    • In addition to these external job boards, jobs posted through Nimble’s ATS are also shared on the Indiana Educator Job Board and a custom job board specific to your organization.

Using Nimble

  • How do I log into Nimble?

    • Once you have opted in and received your login information, you can access Nimble by clicking the “Nimble” tile on I-LEAD if you are a Program Administrator, or otherwise at app.hirenimble.com.

  • How do I post a job?

    • Once you have opted into Nimble and have received login instructions, follow the instructions here to post a job with a posting only account or here to post a job with an ATS account.

  • Once I have posted a job, what do I do next?

    • If you are using the posting only version of Nimble, you can expect increased application traffic due to your job’s new visibility on the statewide job board. Otherwise, your hiring process will be exactly the same - candidates will apply to your jobs the same way they do now. Just make sure to include a link to your positions when you post them on Nimble!

    • If you have opted into Nimble’s ATS, applicants to your job postings will appear in your Nimble portal. You can find more information about reviewing a candidate’s application here.

  • How do candidates apply?

    • For posting only accounts, jobs will be posted on the statewide Indiana Educator Job Board, where candidates will find the link to apply to your positions where they are currently hosted.

    • For ATS accounts, candidates can apply through your organization’s custom job board, the Indiana Educator Job Board, or the third-party integrations described above.
