Running an Institutional Trial of nkoda
Trial access is the best way for prospective institutional partners to evaluate nkoda. It provides a real-world opportunity to explore the library, assess user engagement, and gather feedback from students and faculty before committing to a subscription.
This article explains how institutional trials work, what you’ll need to get started, and how to make the most of the experience.
What is an Institutional Trial?
An nkoda trial offers full, temporary access to the platform for your staff and students. Most trials last one month, but this period can be extended depending on your institution’s review process or academic calendar.
Trials are free of charge and include access to:
Over 130,000 licensed scores, parts, and methods
All app features (annotation, sharing, personal uploads, etc.)
Institutional-level authentication (e.g. Shibboleth, OpenAthens, IP range)
Usage statistics to support evaluation
How to Request a Trial
To book a trial, contact the nkoda by clicking the link below. You can also request a demo to walk through the platform with a member of our team before setting up your trial.
Once we have this information, we’ll confirm setup requirements and schedule your trial period.
For more information on authentication methods, please see here.
After the Trial
At the end of your trial, we’ll share usage statistics and help interpret the results. This includes:
User engagement metrics
Content discovery patterns
Qualitative feedback from users (if provided)
If the trial meets your needs, we can move forward with a subscription offer. If further evaluation is needed, we’re happy to extend or adjust access.
