Institutional access via Member Code Authentication

Steps to access nkoda via your institution if using Member Code/Email Domain Authentication methods.

Updated today

Step 1: Use the Custom Link

Start by clicking the unique nkoda link created for your institution. This is essential—if you don’t use the correct link, the process will not work. Ask your librarian for the link if needed.

Step 2: Create a New Account

  • Click ‘Get Started’.

  • Use your institutional email address.

  • Complete the form and click ‘Sign Up’.

If you already have an nkoda account, click ‘Sign In’ (top right), and confirm institutional membership once logged in.

Step 3: Confirm Membership

On the nkoda Discover Page, a banner will appear at the top asking you to confirm your institutional membership. Click ‘Confirm’.

Your account is now linked to your institution, and you’ll be able to access nkoda from any location.

Step 4: Install the nkoda App

The web app is for browsing only—you can’t view sheet music there.

  • Click ‘Download nkoda’ from the web interface.

  • Once installed, use ‘Open in nkoda’ to launch the app directly.

After setup, you can log in with your email and password—no need to return to the custom link.
