OpenAthens/Shibboleth Authentication allows you to register and sign in securely, using your existing institutional credentials.
NOTE: It’s very important to follow each of the steps carefully, to ensure that you are signing in as a member of your institution.
Step 1: Access nkoda
Navigate to app.nkoda.com or download the nkoda app on your personal device(s) using the appropriate App Store links.

Step 2: Get Started with Institutional Sign Up
Open the app, click "Get Started," and select "Sign up with an institution."
Step 3: Find Your Institution
Use the search bar to locate your institution. Once you've found it, click or tap on your institution.
Step 4: Sign in with Institutional Credentials
Enter your institutional login information and click or tap "Log In."
Step 5: Create or Link Your nkoda Account
Create your nkoda account details or log in to link them up, using your institutional email address.
Step 6: Continue as a Member of Your Institution
You'll be prompted to "Continue as a member of [Institution Name]." Click "Yes."
Step 7: Confirm Successful Authentication
A banner at the top of your screen will indicate "You are signed in as a member of [Institution Name]." This confirms you have successfully completed the process.
