My Library

To access your own personal library, tap ‘My Library’ at the top of your screen. You’ll be presented with 6 subsections: Recently played, Library, Playlists, Uploads, Annotations, and Offline.

Recently played

In the 'Recently played' section, you can find all the scores and parts that you have recently viewed. Swipe through the list or click 'View all' to see all the editions you have recently viewed. To reopen a score, simply tap on it. If you want to save a score to your Library, click the '+' icon.

To search for a specific score in Recently Played, use the search bar. You can also tap on the three-dot menu to save a score to your Library, add it to a playlist, store it offline or share it with others.

Library

Your saved library content will be displayed in the 'Library' section. To open a score again, simply tap on it. If you wish to remove a score from your Library, click the tick icon next to the title.

To search for a specific score, use the search bar. You can also tap on the three-dot menu to save a score to your Library, add it to a playlist, store it offline or share it with others.

To change the order of your scores, tap the icon located in the top right corner of your screen. You will be given options such as Recent First, A-Z according to Title, and A-Z according to Artist.

Playlists

Playlists are a great way to organise your sheet music into folders based on composers, instrumentation, recital programmes, and however else you'd like to organise your scores. Create playlists that are unique to you, which can be kept private or shared with the larger nkoda community.

Creating a Playlist

  1. Head to 'My Library', and then to 'Playlists'.

  2. To create a new playlist, tap the ‘New Playlist’ icon in the right corner of your screen.

  3. Name your playlist, activate the 'Make Private' toggle to keep the playlist private to you, and choose relevant genres.

  4. Tap ‘Create Playlist’.

Adding content to Playlists

To add editions or parts to a playlist, simply enter a title (from your Library, or the larger nkoda library) and select the three-dot menu next to a specific score or part. Then select 'Add to playlist' and choose the playlist you want to add to.

Editing and removing titles from Playlists

To remove a title from your playlist, enter the playlist and tap the Edit icon (pencil) at the top right corner of your screen.

Select and tick the edition you want to remove on the left of the edition, tap the 'bin' icon, and confirm deletion.

You can also update the playlist's icon, name and description. Rearrange the order by dragging a title using the three-line icon to a different position.

Deleting a playlist

If you want to delete an entire playlist, select the three-dot menu next to the playlist you want to delete, and select 'Delete Playlist'.

Uploads

To upload a score from your own files to your library, click the ‘Upload Music’ icon in the bottom corner of your screen. Choose a file from your device to upload and it will open in nkoda.

All of your uploads will be displayed in the ‘Uploads’ subsection of your library. You can filter them by title and composer/artist using the search bar.

To change the order of your scores, tap the icon located in the top right corner of your screen. You will be given options such as Recent First, A-Z according to Title, and A-Z according to Artist.

Annotations

In the 'Annotations' section, you can access all the annotation layers you have created for every piece you've annotated. To view a certain annotation, simply tap on the title of the score. Filter by title and composer/artist to find a specific score and its layers.

To share an annotation layer, click on the three-dot menu. Click ‘Share’ and choose your preferred method of sharing (e.g. email, social media, Airdrop, etc.).

Offline

To save a score for offline use, click and open it, and select the ‘Store Offline’ icon from the menu bar on the far right of your screen.

When you are next offline, the app will appear in offline mode. Go to the ‘Offline’ section and you will see a list of all the scores you have saved offline. Select a score to open it.
