What is ARIA-i?
ARIA-i is an AI-powered tool created by nkoda for musicians — supporting them as they discover, make, and write about music. ARIA-i consists of three specifically-designed modules which focus user learning on orchestration and arranging, music history, or writing about music.
A powerful resource for information and inspiration, ARIA-i excels across research and creative contexts, engaging users in nuanced discussions with accuracy and unique perspectives.
The Orchestration module is knowledgeable about musical instruments, their coordination within a work, and adapting works from one medium to another. ARIA-i’s Music History module is built to recall factual information about and critically analyse historical events, particularly those relevant to music.
Lastly, the Writing module of ARIA-i supports users’ writing practice, whether writing about music in contexts like music criticism, score analysis, or critical essays. ARIA-i Writing helps users communicate ideas as effectively as possible by suggesting strategies for improving structure, style, and language. Citation formatting guidance, translation, and proofreading are also offered within ARIA-i Writing.
Access trusted musical knowledge on-demand with ARIA-i — a learning companion designed for creative back-and-forth, sourcing research, and constructive feedback.
ARIA-i is accessible via your browser at aria-i.com.
What we're about
ARIA-i was built by the team behind nkoda, the world's largest licensed sheet music library, enabling unlimited access on subscription to high-quality scores and performance materials from our global publishing partners.
nkoda exists so that musicians can access all the scores and editions from their favourite publishers in one place. ARIA-i takes this one step further - now musicians can not only access licensed scores all in one place, but licensed information about music as well. As ARIA-i links directly to nkoda, it allows you to take your learning directly from books to scores.
The nkoda team
Our team today of 10-20 people are, for the most part, based in London, and many of us are classical musicians.
