The very first must-do items for new Nooks users

This brief article covers how to perform the first 3 critical steps in order to use the various tools within the Nooks platform. Those steps are broken down as follows:

  1. Signing up for Nooks

  2. Integrating with your Sales Engagement Platform

  3. Installing the Nooks Chrome extension (dialer users only)


Signing up for Nooks

To sign up for Nooks, simply click the link to your Nooks workspace provided by your AE or CSM, enter your work email, and choose your password!

Important note: your workspace URL will always be the same, so make sure to bookmark this URL for future use.

Once you've entered your workspace, you may join a floor. For a deep-dive on salesfloor, see the "Salesfloor" section of the article Nooks UX: Explained.


Integrating Nooks with your SEP

Nooks is built to supercharge your productivity by integrating with your SEP (Sales Engagement Platform). Example of compatible SEP's (or CRM's with SEP functionality) are Outreach, Salesloft, Salesforce, Apollo, and Hubspot.

You may be pleasantly surprised to find how minimal the lift is to activate this integration. The steps are as follows (see screenshots below instructions):

  1. Click the gear icon with the purple number in the upper lefthand corner of your floor

  2. Hover over “Integrations”

  3. Click “Connect Outreach/Salesloft/Hubspot/Apollo”

Once you've selected the SEP you'd like to integrate with, your SEP will open a new tab giving you the option to authorize the sync. Once you've clicked to authorize and see a "successful" notification, you may close that tab and return to Nooks!


Installing the Nooks Chrome Extension

A powerful feature unique to Nooks is the ability to view a LinkedIn prospect's profile embedded in the Nooks UI. This feature in many cases eliminates the need spend precious seconds of a cold call scrambling for the prospect's LinkedIn information.

In order to use this feature, you must download the Nooks plug-in for Google Chrome. To do this, follow instructions 1 and 2 from the above section ("Integrating Nooks with your SEP") but this time select "Chrome Extension." This will take you to the Google Chrome Web Store page for Nooks:

On this page, click "Add to Chrome" and you are all set* :)

*IMPORTANT NOTE: Once you've integrated Nooks with your SEP and downloaded the Chrome extension, you must refresh Nooks for all changes to take effect!
