2026.04.06 update

Overall Search has been improved with a keyboard-first experience, making it faster and more convenient to use.

This is useful when:

  • you want to quickly find and open a document without using your mouse

  • you want to jump back to a recently edited document faster

  • you want to open documents side by side in split view for comparison

How to use

  1. Open Global Search instantly with Ctrl/Cmd + K

  • Use the arrow keys (↑ ↓) to navigate search results and recent documents

2. Press Enter to open the selected document in the current view, or Cmd + Enter to open it in split view

  • If you do not type a search term, a list of recently opened documents by project will appear automatically

  • If you close and reopen the search window, your previous search term stays selected automatically, so you can start a new search right away
