Plans & Credits Policy

Q. Can I use Novela for free?

Yes! You can start writing right away with our Free Plan.

If you need more features or higher usage limits later, you can upgrade to the Pro Plan (8$/month or 6.67$/month with an annual subscription).

Q. What is the AI credits?

The AI credits refer to the monthly allowance for using AI-powered features.

Consumption rates vary depending on your plan and the specific feature used.

Q. What payment methods are accepted?

We accept all major credit and debit cards.

Q. Is there a discount for annual billing?

Yes! By choosing the Annual Plan, you effectively get 2 months for free compared to the monthly billing rate.

Q. Are there benefits for students or educational institutions?

Yes. Novela provides the Pro Plan for free to students and faculty of our partner institutions.

Cancellations & Refunds

Q. How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled.

You can cancel at any time under [Settings] → [My Settings] → [Subscription & Billing] → [Cancel Subscription].

  • Once canceled, auto-renewal stops immediately.

  • You can continue using Pro features until the end of your current billing cycle, after which your account will switch to the Free Plan.

Q. What happens to my stories if I cancel my subscription?

Your stories and data are never deleted, even if you cancel your subscription.

Your work is stored safely and remains accessible to you at any time.

Q. How can I get a refund?

Refund requests must be made within:

  • 7 days of payment for Monthly Plans.

  • 14 days of payment for Annual Plans.

  • Condition: Refunds are only available if less than 10% of the AI credits provided for that period have been used. To request a refund, please email us at hello@novelastudio.com.
